Mega Blaziken Trick Room Team Worlds 26

Regulation M-B · Doubles · theiappi95 · 30 August 2026

Trick RoomSun

Filip Woźniak took this team to Top 16 at the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco, going 8-3 in Regulation M-B. Mega Blaziken and Trick Room look like opposites, and that is the whole idea. This is two teams sharing one slot list. The first one is fast and burns down under the sun. The second one is slow, sets Trick Room and cleans up what is left. Blaziken has a job and it is not to survive. It mega evolves, Protects on turn one so Speed Boost ticks for free, and from turn two it moves first and forces damage. You are not saving it. You are trading it for one or two opposing Pokémon to guarantee for the tempo that Farigiraf needs to get Trick Room up safely. Farigiraf is the switch between the two halves. Armor Tail blocks the opposing priority moves, so Fake Out cannot take the Trick Room turn away from you. Once the room is up, Kingambit and Primarina move first and the team stops being a sun team. Torkoal is doing two jobs at once. Drought powers Blaziken's Fire moves and weakens the Water moves aimed back at it, and it doubles Venusaur's Speed through Chlorophyll on the turns before Trick Room. Torkoal is also slow enough to be a real attacker inside the room. Primarina holds a Life Orb, and Liquid Voice turns Hyper Voice into a Water move that hits both opponents at once. Aqua Jet looks wrong on a special attacker until the game ends with something on 10 percent HP and Trick Room already gone. Kingambit keeps Defiant, so an Intimidate aimed at it hands you an Attack boost instead of taking one away. No official spreads exist for this team, so the ones on this page are ours. Blaziken is full Attack with 29 points in Speed, which is all it needs to outspeed the format at +1 after the Protect turn. Venusaur is Timid max Speed so it beats Basculegion even with no sun on the field. The rest of the spreads are standard bulk and power. The mistake to avoid is setting Trick Room too early. Play the sun turns first, get value out of Blaziken while it is still alive, and turn the room on when the fast half has done its damage.
