MZard Y - MFroslass Puebla Reg Winner

Regulation M-C · Doubles · theiappi95 · 28 Oct 2026

SunSnowTailwind

Kyle Livinghouse won the 2027 Puebla Regional with this team, going 13-2 in Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C. The core of Whimsicott, Charizard, Kingambit and Garchomp has been around since Regulation M-A, and this version pairs Mega Charizard Y with Mega Froslass and Sneasler.

There is no single combo to learn. The six cover each other well, so any two can lead and any two can stay in the back. Picking the right four at team preview is most of the work.

The main choice is which mega to bring. Mega Charizard Y is the steady option for damage, and Heat Wave next to Garchomp's Earthquake puts two spread moves on the field from turn one. Mega Froslass is the pick into flying megas like Mega Salamence and Mega Staraptor. Its snow powers up Blizzard and lets it set Aurora Veil before it goes down, so Garchomp and Kingambit take less damage after it.

Sneasler holds White Herb. An opposing Intimidate is enough to use the herb up, so Unburden often doubles its Speed on turn one. Rock Tomb gives the team a second way to control speed next to Whimsicott's Tailwind. Kingambit with Chople Berry fits into almost any matchup, and leading it with Charizard into Trick Room teams can take out Farigiraf before the room goes up.

A few points in the spreads have a clear job. Garchomp has some HP so that Dragon Claw from a Choice Scarf Garchomp does not knock it out without a critical hit. Sneasler is just faster than a max Speed Jolly Garchomp. Charizard outspeeds base 80 Pokémon like Basculegion and puts the rest into HP and Defense.

Watch out for Trick Room teams with a fast Pokémon like Mega Garchomp Z waiting in the back. One of Kyle's two losses came against a team like that. Froslass does little into Ice resists like Incineroar and Kingambit, Ghost types wall Sneasler, and Rock Slide, Heat Wave and Blizzard outside snow can all miss.

The sets match Kyle's official team list from Puebla, and the spreads come from the replica code shared with the team. The replica code is 0QK4AB237U and it imports the team straight into Champions.
