Mega Charizard Y/Mega Golisopod tailroom

Regulation M-C · Doubles · ultraproyectadas · 31 Oct 2026

TailwindTrick RoomSun

This is a flexible Doubles team built around two different strategies: a fast Sun + Tailwind mode and a slower Trick Room mode. The idea is to adapt to the opposing team rather than relying on the same strategy in every battle.

Mega Charizard Y is the main special attacker. Upon Mega Evolving, Drought activates Sun, boosting its Fire-type attacks and allowing Whimsicott to take advantage of Chlorophyll.

Whimsicott provides speed control with Tailwind, while Taunt helps disrupt opposing support Pokémon and setup strategies. Moonblast gives it an additional offensive option against threats such as Mega Garchomp Z and Rillaboom, while Energy Ball provides further coverage.

Charizard's Weather Ball becomes a powerful Fire-type attack under Sun, Heat Wave provides spread damage, and Ancient Power offers additional coverage.

Farigiraf is the team's Trick Room setter. Armor Tail protects the team from opposing priority moves, making it harder for the opponent to disrupt the strategy.

Its most important utility move is Imprison, which can prevent opposing Pokémon from using Trick Room while Farigiraf remains on the field. This is particularly useful against other Trick Room teams.

Mega Golisopod is the main Trick Room attacker. With maximum Attack investment and no Speed investment, it can take advantage of the reversed speed order. Leech Life provides recovery, Iron Head offers reliable damage, and Wave Crash gives it strong Water-type coverage.

Mega Golisopod is an alternative Mega Evolution to Charizard Y, allowing the team to choose its offensive approach depending on the matchup.

Incineroar provides Intimidate, Fake Out and Parting Shot to control the opponent's damage output and create opportunities for its teammates. Helping Hand strengthens an ally's attacks, while Throat Chop gives Incineroar an offensive option. Rocky Helmet also punishes opponents that rely on contact moves.

Garchomp provides strong physical pressure and helps the team outside Trick Room. Its Speed investment makes it more comfortable when Trick Room is not active, or after it expires. Dragon Claw provides reliable Dragon-type damage, Stomping Tantrum is its Ground-type STAB move, and Rock Slide offers spread damage and coverage against Flying-type threats. Protect helps it manage dangerous turns.

Against faster teams, use Farigiraf to establish Trick Room and let Mega Golisopod take advantage of it. Against slower or Trick Room teams, consider using Mega Charizard Y and Whims
